Ray Development Organization (RD) is a nationally registered Myanmar non-governmental organization founded to strengthen timely, dignified, and accountable humanitarian assistance in complex environments. RD was established in the aftermath of Cyclone Mocha to respond to urgent humanitarian gaps, and has since expanded operations across Rakhine State, Southern Shan State, and Bago Region. RD delivers integrated humanitarian response and early recovery programming, combining rapid field presence with strong community engagement and practical, context-adapted implementation.

RD currently prioritizes Rakhine State, Southern Shan State, and Bago Region, with readiness to expand to earthquake-affected and underserved areas (including Mandalay and Sagaing Regions) as access and partnerships allow.
RD’s scope of work is designed for integrated delivery. Our programs are humanitarian and early recovery oriented, with sectoral depth and cross-cutting protection, gender, and inclusion. RD works through community engagement, transparent targeting, risk-aware delivery modalities, and robust monitoring and accountability systems.
Rapid multi-sector assessments, time-critical delivery of life-saving support, and clear beneficiary communication.
Safe water access interventions, emergency sanitation solutions, and hygiene promotion to reduce public health risks.
Emergency shelter solutions, NFI kit distributions, and shelter repair incorporating safer construction principles.
In-kind food, market-based modalities, nutrition-sensitive assistance, and linkages to early recovery livelihoods.
Protection mainstreaming: safe access, dignity, non-discrimination, gender, and disability inclusion across all sectors.
Routine monitoring, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), feedback loops, and accountability to affected populations.
RD seeks partnership with UN agencies, INGOs, and institutional donors. Together, we can extend life-saving support into new and underserved areas where timely interventions prevent hardship.
